5 Stages of Sleep, which stage are you not able to complete
Posted by admin in Sleep Learning

I found this great article on http://www.dreamviews.com/sleepstages.php. It tells of the stages of sleep, did you know there are FIVE stages? So exploring insomnia in a natural way we should be aware of the stages of sleep. This could really help change our insomnia into a natural state.
Not only are there Five stages but you cycle through them over and over again during the night. One of the things I found so interesting in this article is this
After the completion of the 4th stage, the 5th stage does not immediately begin; instead, the first 4 stages quickly reverse and are then immediately followed by a REM period
The REM period expands during the night lasting upto a whole hour long creating more vivid dreams.
Check out this great site, they even have an easy detailed chart that really helps understand the stages of sleep right down to the movement of your eyes.

Are you a natural ‘night owl’ or Insomnia natural?

Is it that you have insomnia or is it that you are having trouble conforming to an early bird society?

I found this amazing article in the Science News, it fully opened up the possibilities that some of us have internal clocks that work best at night and some of us that don’t have the internal night clock, but actually have the early bird within.
The studies look into the sleep and waking systems determining how the body syncs up with light and dark cycles.
These days they can monitor everything from how much sleep you have to if you are sleeping too much, we all know that is not an insomnia’s problem.
The overview of the study is this, two groups “lark” (morning people) and Night owls (Evening people) this is where it became obvious there was a difference. The larks in the study typically woke up between 4 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. and went to bed by 9 p.m. The night owls, or evening chronotypes, left to their own devices would go to bed at 3 a.m. or 4 a.m. and rise at noon.
As this article spelled out so well for the night owls out there. “Their problem is that they are at complete contradiction to the work schedule of society,” he says.
The results of the study were very interesting, discover a possible reason why insomnia might be plaguing you. Is your inner night owl calling? Click here and find out.
